Our Philosophy
Before Your Nightmare: Literary Psychological Horror
Before Your Nightmare is built on atmosphere rather than shock. We favour patient storytelling, believable characters and mysteries that deepen with every chapter. Fear comes not from monsters or violence, but from uncertainty, memory and the unsettling feeling that something familiar has quietly changed.
Our stories draw inspiration from forgotten history, isolated landscapes and local folklore. Every location feels real because many begin with real places, old maps, historical records and stories that have almost disappeared with time.

Field Notes from Forgotten Paths
Every novella begins with research. Old railway timetables, coastal charts, local archives, forgotten villages and overlooked landmarks often become the foundation for entirely new mysteries.
Whether the setting is a mist-covered headland, a mountain road in rural Japan or a forgotten woodland path, each story is grounded in places that could almost exist beyond the next bend in the road. Reality provides the setting. Imagination supplies the mystery.
